Join us in the lobby of the Community Building for refreshments and conversations about how you've encountered and participated in dispute resolution within the last month. This is an event for everyone - you don't need to be a certified mediator to participate. And feel free to dress up!

We are engaging in peaceful problem solving all the time. Every day. In grocery stores. With our relatives. In our workplaces. Some of those disputes are small and solved almost without a thought ("Oh, I see you have fewer items... you can go ahead of me in the checkout line"), and are bigger and may require a whole workplace department to get involved. And a great way to keep our dispute resolution skills in the forefront of our minds is to talk about those experiences with other people. Not only do we get to acknowledge our own achievements, but we get to hear from others and deploy their tactics or just recognize that we did something like that too, we just didn't quite realize it was dispute resolution at the time.
